September 8, 2017 - Yesterday, Reliance Health staff and members joined with the non-profit community to advocate for our state legislatures to pass a budget and protect community services. We stood on the steps of our state capitol to put faces to the numbers. We cannot allow our budget crisis to rest on the shoulders of the non-profit community. We need a responsible and moral budget and we need it now.

There were many speakers at this event, but one voice stood out to us. A gentelman who has utilized the support of 2-1-1 and is now connected to the Coordinated Access Network (CAN) to obtain permanent housing after years of living on the streets. His story highlights that every cut made to the non-profit sector has a direct impact on those in need.

Thank you to The Alliance: The Voice of Community Nonprofits for organizing this event.
