  1. Access Line: For 24/7 access to substance use treatment, including detox and transportation, call the Access Line at 1-800-563-4086.
  2. Advocacy Unlimited is a peer run non-profit organization based in Connecticut that provides education, advocacy, and support through non-clinical and holistic engagement.
  3. Artreach, Inc because creativity heals! Home of "The Second Step Players," a stigma busting comedy troupe, our programs promote recovery, increase resiliency, and enhance the quality of life for our members, who have psychiatric disorders.
  4. The Bureau of Rehabilitation Services strives to create opportunities that enable individuals with significant disabilities to work competitively and live independently. They provide individualized services, develop effective partnerships, and share sufficient information so that consumers and their families may make informed choices about the rehabilitation process and employment options.
  5. ChoicesInRecovery.com: Support and information for people with Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective, and Bipolar Disorder and their caregivers, including Strategies for Success that can be used daily by people living with mental health conditions.
  6. Community Health Center provides comprehensive primary care services in medicine, dentistry, and behavioral health in the state of Connecticut.
  7. Create a Hope Box: A hope box is something you can create for when you need a reminder of why your life is so precious. This technique is often used in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to cultivate hope. It is simply a collection of various items that can show you that your life is meaningful and worth living.
  8. Crisis Services in CT: Mobile Crisis Team staff provide immediate assistance to people in distress by identifying options and resources that meet the unique needs expressed by the individual. The Action Line is an adult crisis telephone intervention service available 24/7, 365 days a year for adults in distress who are 18 years of age or older. 1-800-HOPE-135 (1.800.467.3135)
  9. Crisis Text Line: Need support? Text HOME to 741741 for free, 24/7 crisis counseling.
  10. The Connecticut Hearing Voices Network (CTHVN) is designed to enhance current opportunities for people who hear voices, see visions or have other unusual sensory perceptions to find and build supportive peer communities through support groups and community education.
  11. CT Warmlines: Warm Lines are telephone support services staffed by people who have experience/expertise with mutual support.  These lines are not crisis lines and the days/hours of operation vary.
  12. Daily Wellness Chart Worksheet is a chart you can use to track your daily steps toward wellness. It includes a medication checklist, goals and reflections, exercise and activities, nutrition intake, and a sleep record.
  13. Detox.com - If you or someone you love is addicted to drugs or alcohol, call our helpline at 1-800-483-2193 for help finding Connecticut detox centers that will assist you.
  14. Disabilities Network of Eastern CT, Inc. is a non-profit agency providing services to people with disabilities that reside in Eastern CT.
  15. Do Nothing for 2 Minutes is a site that challenges you to do absolutely nothing except listen to the waves and enjoy the scenic view for 2 minutes.
  16. eMLife offers practical, relatable programs with new mindfulness topics and skills every day, all which can be applied to everyday life and chronic conditions such as anxiety, depression, weight management and more.
  17. Equoo is a game that teaches individuals psychological skills in a fun and captivating way to deal with emotional and mental stressors in a healthy and productive fashion.
  18. Guided Journal: Sometimes journaling can help you process certain emotions or a tough situation. This guided journal provides some prompts to help you talk about your experiences in the past week. You can cross out “week” and write “day” or “month” if you want to journal more or less frequently. Or you can use this as a guide to write in a journal of your choice.
  19. Happify brings you effective tools and programs (via the web and an app) to help you take control of your feelings and thoughts using proven techniques developed by leading scientists and experts who’ve been studying evidence-based interventions in the fields of positive psychology, mindfulness, and cognitive behavioral therapy.
  20. Hearing Voices Network – for people who hear voices, see visions or have other unusual perceptions.
  21. HelpGuide is an independent nonprofit that provides free, evidence-based mental health education and support. Our mission is to empower people with information they can use to help themselves and their loved ones.
  22. In The Open Podcast - Join Mental Health America as we have open conversations about mental health. We're a group of people who want to change the way our communities talk about mental health. On this podcast, we share our lives, fight in the open, and work together to just figure things out.
  23. The Keep The Promise Coalition (KTP) is a Connecticut Coalition of advocates (people living with mental illness, family members, mental health professionals and interested community members) dedicated to ensuring that a comprehensive, community mental health system is created and sustained across the lifespan (children, adolescents, emerging adults, adults, older adults and families in Connecticut).
  24. MakeTheConnection.net connects Veterans, their families and friends, and other supporters to mental health information, a tool for finding local mental health resources, and videos of Veterans sharing their inspiring stories of recovery.
  25. MentalHealth.gov provides one-stop access to U.S. government mental health and mental health problems information.
  26. Mental Health America’s work is driven by its commitment to promote mental health as a critical part of overall wellness, including prevention services for all; early identification and intervention for those at risk; integrated care, services, and supports for those who need them; with recovery as the goal.
  27. Mental Health Screening: Online screening is one of the quickest and easiest ways to determine whether you are experiencing symptoms of a mental health condition.
  28. Moodfit - Pointing out that mental health is just as important as physical health, this app helps you track your moods throughout each day, and across multiple days. It reinforces positive messages and allows you to examine such lifestyle choices as diet and exercise, practice gratitude, and much more.
  29. NAMI CT:  NAMI Connecticut plays an active role providing support, education, and advocacy at the community level. We operate support groups to let people know they are not alone and to be there with information and support when needed.
  30. National Suicide Prevention Lifeline - The Lifeline provides 24/7, free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention and crisis resources for you or your loved ones, and best practices for professionals.
  31. notOK App: The notOK App® is a free app that takes the guesswork out of asking for help when you’re feeling vulnerable.
  32. Psycom a mental health resource since 1996.
  33. PTSD Coach Online is for anyone who needs help with upsetting feelings.
  34. Reliance Health is focused on enhancing health through mental wellness. With a variety of programs serving adults throughout Eastern CT, the agency provides tools and resources to assist individuals in moving forward with their lives.
  35. SAM App – The Self-Help for Anxiety Management app lets you know what’s pushing you over the edge, so you can reel yourself back in. SAM’s approach is to monitor anxious thoughts, track behavior over time, and use guided self-help exercises to discourage stress.
  36. Self-Care Checkup: Becoming aware of how often, or how well, we practice self-care activities can help us identify areas we are neglecting and improve upon them for better mental health. This worksheet from Prairie Health can help you evaluate and improve your self-care.
  37. Smiling Mind is a unique tool developed by psychologists and educators to help bring balance to your life.
  38. Social Rehabilitation Clubs/Centers/Learning Centers – The CT Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services funds 24 clubhouses across the state. They offer a vast array of services and activities (not all services/activities are available at all clubhouses)
  39. Sound Community Services is a private, not-for-profit organization dedicated to educating, assisting, and supporting individuals with persistent mental illness and/or substance use disorders.
  40. Southeastern Mental Health Authority (SMHA) is a community mental health agency operated by the State of Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS). Its primary goal is to provide high quality behavioral health services to those in our community with mental health and substance use disorders who are 18 years or older and reside in New London County and its surrounding towns.
  41. This Way Up: This Way Up provides online courses that teach practical, psychological skills designed to help you manage difficult emotions, tackle unhelpful thoughts, and gain control over symptoms of anxiety and depression.
  42. TurningPointCT.org was developed by young people in Connecticut who are in recovery from mental health and substance use issues. We know what it’s like to feel alone, stressed, worried, sad, and angry. We’ve lived through the ups and downs of self-harm, drugs and alcohol, and the struggle to find help.
  43. Total Brain is a mental health and fitness platform. Founded on the notion that our mental health can be measured, improved and managed like our physical health, Total Brain measures the 12 brain capacities that define mental health, screens for the risk of common mental health conditions, creates self-awareness and accountability, and engages individuals in mental fitness programs that maximize their mental health. With just 15 minutes of mental fitness training a day, individuals can improve their self-awareness and brain performance both in and out of work.
