December 2021 - As we are still in the peak of winter, let's take a quick look back at December 2021 and the new potential yearly collaboration on the horizon! This past holiday season, Reliance Health partnered with the United Way and Tommy Toy Fund to provide a Norwich distribution site for the annual Tommy Toy Fund event. Our newly renovated Wellness Center in the lower level of our Morosky Building – 2 Cliff Street – was able to be showcased and quickly turned into Santa’s workshop with 15-foot Christmas trees, festive music, volunteers as elves, Santa granting wishes, and toys, toys, and more toys! The elves worked throughout the days leading up to the two-day event to prepare the gifts by compiling bags filled with age-appropriate toys containing winter hats, gloves, books, stocking stuffers, toys! Gifts were donated from several various locations including NFA, the Norwich Police, Dixie Donuts, and Surplus Unlimited. At the Norwich site, Tommy Toy Fund was able to serve 1,500 children alone, totaling approximately 3,573 children overall. Reliance Health was very happy to have this new space available for such an amazing community event and cannot wait to do it again in 2022!
